Assist teachers with behavior and instructional support. Assist teachers in the preparation and management of classroom including diffusing disruptive student behavior to refocus and transition students into classroom activities. Work directly under the supervision of a certified teacher and/or campus administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED Educational Aide certificate Meets Highly Qualified status with either an Associate’s degree or higher, 48 college hours or a certificate demonstrating state or local academic assessment.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to assist in behavior management and intervention Ability to assist instructing reading, writing, and mathematics Ability to work well with children Ability to communicate effectively
Experience Some experience working with children who exhibit behavior problems.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- High School/Trade School degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
