PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for preparing appropriate quantities of vegetables, meat, or baked goods to meet menu requirements and maintaining high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.
6.5 hours/day - 180 days per year
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required for part-time/temporary positions
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to understand instructions for food preparation and safety procedures
Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production
Patient and calm demeanor with children and others
Experience:
Must have at least one year of cooking experience or baking experience depending on assignment
