Primary Purpose
Provide instruction to individual students and small groups of students. To work under the general supervision of the principal and/or assigned supervisor and the immediate direction of a certified teacher. 


Education/Certification:

High School diploma or GED
Certified Clinical Medical Asst. (CCMA), Certified Nursing Asst. (CNA), or other medical experience preferred
Current cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificates

Associate’s degree, two years of study at an institution of higher learning, or have met formal academic assessment as   required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) preferred

Valid Texas educational aide certificate preferred

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of basic first aid
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

 

Experience:

One year experience working with children preferred
